Mols Bolsjer: A Taste Journey Through Tradition and Craftsmanship

Experience Fanø Bolsjer's journey to Mols Bolsjer

Else and Niels bought Fanø Bolsjer on May 16, 1974, on Fanø. They purchased a small factory in Esbjerg called Fanø Bolsjer and decided to move it to Fanø, the island from which the sweets originally came. Else and Niels were passionate about using traditional methods to produce sweets, and they focused on combining old recipes with modern flavor combinations. Their recipes have roots going all the way back to the 1600s, and their handmade sweets quickly became popular due to their high quality and the exciting flavor varieties they offered. Their vision was to create sweets that could bring joy to both locals and tourists.

In 1997, Jette and Jes (Else and Niels' son) took over the business and restarted production, which revitalized Fanø Bolsjer and ushered in a new era for the company on Fanø.

In 2003, Jette and Jes took a significant step by moving production to Ebeltoft and rebranding the company as Mols Bolsjer. The name changed, but the focus on quality and craftsmanship remained unaltered. Mols Bolsjer is now known for its delicious, handmade sweets and its innovative flavor combinations, and the company has gained a strong reputation both in Denmark and abroad.

Mols Bolsjer is thus the result of several generations' passion for sweets and their ability to adapt to the times while preserving classic traditions.

Enjoy, and remember to brush your teeth :)
