Buffalo Hoptimist
Product Information
Buffalo is the strong buffalo with a stubborn streak. He is a true herd animal who thrives best in company – preferably in the middle of the herd on the shelf, desk or wherever a little boost of mood is needed. Buffalo stands firm, even when the world is rocking – but of course, he gladly bounces when you give him a little push on top.
The item is produced in FSC®-certified oak (FSC-C166612).

The Big Five
You don't need to go to Africa to meet The Big Five – with Hoptimist, you can get up close. So close, in fact, that you can give them a little push and watch them bounce with joy. Because at Hoptimist, The Big Five are not looking for prey, but a smile and good spirits. Here you will meet a strong buffalo, a cute rhino, a spotted leopard, an attentive elephant, and a majestic lion. They are wild, but in a sweet way – and make everyday life a little more fun.
With a strong belief in the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created his cheerful Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to create a figure that was a constant reminder to remain positive and optimistic. For although the 1960s are often referred to as "The Swinging Sixties," the decade was marked by unrest. Therefore, Ehrenreich's design was a welcome joy-spreader in an otherwise turbulent time.
Bimble and Bumble represent the very first Hoptimists from the designer's hand: A dress-clad girl with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a split on his head. The cheerful Hoptimists are today part of Danish design history and bring joy all over the world. The figures come in four different sizes and a wide range of colors that spread lots of cheer, humor and joy.
There is guaranteed to be a Hoptimist for every occasion and every person.
