For me, Christmas tree decorations should be special, preferably ornaments that become a fixed tradition on the tree. I have decorations given to me by my grandmother and my mother, and these ornaments have been on my first Christmas tree in 1980 and will continue to be so until the end of my life. When my boys leave home and get their first Christmas tree in their own home, they will receive an item from their great-grandmother's and grandmother's Christmas tree, and of course a set of my Christmas tree ornaments, and that's how I hope it will continue for many generations to come. It gives a warm feeling inside when you look at the tree and think: "There hangs grandmother's beautiful glass bauble, and there are mother's homemade paper cones with crinkled handles." I would like to pass on this tradition to other families with these cute and fun ornaments. I must also remember to mention that in our home, it's a tradition that the elf in the attic decorates our Christmas tree at night.
