The goal was to create a figure that was an eternal reminder to stay positive and optimistic. Because even though the 1960s are often referred to as "The Swinging Sixties", the decade was characterized by unrest. Therefore, Ehrenreich's design was a welcome source of joy in an otherwise turbulent time.
