Hammershøi Summer is inspired by the enchanting shapes, colours and feelings of the Danish summer, and for the 2025 season, a bouquet of the most beautiful meadow flowers has found its way to the popular series. The Hammershøi Summer bowl adorned with the meadow flower theme measures 12 cm in diameter and is perfect for sun-ripened berries, biscuits or other treats for yourself or your summer guests – whether you're setting up a grand coffee table or simply want to create an authentic summer feel on the table and around the home. With Hammershøi Summer and the meadow flowers, we are announcing that summer is upon us, just as the meadow flowers can remind us to enjoy the present with their diverse blossoming, often lying like a carpet over the meadow, all while promising to bloom again in the coming years. The meadow flower theme is painted in the same way as the other themes in the Hammershøi Summer series, where plants and flowers almost move spontaneously across the classic ridges on the white ceramic pieces. It's as if they almost grow, indeed, almost dance across the porcelain with their various asymmetrical directions. If you already have other pieces in the Hammershøi Summer series, the bowl will be a beautiful complement to the other themes and complete a happy and cosy summer atmosphere on the table, while also enjoying the authentic nostalgia in Kähler's handmade design traditions. The motifs are created by artist Rikke Jacobsen on the existing Hammershøi dinnerware designed by Hans-Christian Bauer. With her beautiful watercolours, she creates detailed motifs where flora and fauna play a recurring role and capture the mood of nature and the seasons around us.
