Anne is a very curious little girl who loves to explore. She loves snow, Christmas, and coziness. When it's time to decorate, she's immediately ready to help. When large snowflakes fall, she's out the door immediately, either on her sled or in her sleigh with her beloved horses harnessed up.
Hans Christian is fresh, brave, and a daredevil. What he loves most is when the snow lies in large drifts after a good snowstorm; then he can really get going on his sled, the snow whirls around him, and all small animals flee to hide behind trees and bushes.

The Year Gnomes have been spreading Christmas cheer for 20 years.
Imagine, a 20-year anniversary with the Year Gnomes, how time flies, but it always does in good company. I love the gnomes, and they ensure I'm never bored.
They tumble around in my head day and night. Sometimes it affects my sleep, but that's alright. The little gnomes bring me so much joy and many cozy moments. They have been a part of my life almost since I was born, and I actually think I have gnome blood in my veins.
When I started selling gnomes from my first small shop in 1986, I always made a new set of gnomes each year. Every year, more of my loyal customers would ask; "What do the new gnomes look like this year?"
From that came the idea that they should be called Year Gnomes, and it was perfectly fitting that I could call them that from the year 2000. So, it has resulted in many different cute gnomes over the years, and with that, one can say that I have given myself a certain amount of work pressure, but I love it. It's fantastic to be able to use one's childlike and adventurous imagination, and nothing is cozier than December, when we are waiting for Christmas to come and all the little gnomes are around us – then there's true coziness!
