Hammershøi Summer is inspired by the magical shapes, colours and feelings of the Danish summer, and for the 2025 season, a bouquet of the most beautiful wildflowers has made its way into the popular series. The Hammershøi Summer lunch plate, adorned with the wildflower theme, measures 22 cm in diameter and is perfect for summer's big cold table, whether you're hosting the party of the year or simply want to create an authentic summer atmosphere on the table and around your home. With Hammershøi Summer and the wildflowers, we announce that summer is upon us, just as the wildflowers can remind us to enjoy the moment with their diverse blooming, often forming a carpet across the meadow, while promising to bloom again in the coming years. The wildflower theme is painted in the same way as the other themes in the Hammershøi Summer series, where plants and flowers almost spontaneously move across the classic grooves on the white ceramic pieces. It is as if they almost grow up, indeed, almost dance across the porcelain with their various asymmetrical directions. If you already have other pieces from the Hammershøi Summer series, the plate will be a beautiful supplement to the other themes, completing a joyful and cosy summer atmosphere on the table, while you enjoy the authentic nostalgia of Kähler's handcrafted design traditions. The motifs are created by artist Rikke Jacobsen on the existing parts of the Hammershøi dinnerware designed by Hans-Christian Bauer. With her beautiful watercolours, she creates detailed motifs where flora and fauna play a recurring role, capturing the mood of nature and the seasons around us.
